My name is Stephen Miller. I’m a 20-year-old from San Diego, starting my third year at U.C. Berkeley. I am majoring in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, with an honors area of study in Particle Physics. In other words, I am very much a nerd. Being a Cal Engineer gives me a heavy workload, but sadly very little of that includes writing. But I do like to write. I also like to rant, philosophize, and come up with cheesy metaphors and analogies to get my points across. So, I started this blog.
Since I am a Computer Science geek, AI and the nature of thought is extremely interesting to me. Since I am a Physics nerd, the order (and chaos) of the universe excites me. Since I am a Christian, my eternal future and present relation with an eternal God drives me. Where these issues intersect, in agreement or collision, is my passion, and the very rough creed of this blog. But big ideas don’t happen nearly as often as I’d like them to, and are hardly ever as deep as they feel to me at 3 in the morning. So I’m at least as likely to be writing about my personal life, and whatever is on my mind. Or something like that.
I also like food a lot.
